Flag Football

The Northville Youth Football Association is adding 2 Flag Football teams for 2012. One team will be Northville Stallions and one team will be Northville Colts. These teams will roster 21 six and seven-year-olds. (Players must be 6 years old by Aug. 1, 2012). The Stallions Flag team will be made up of students from RidgeWood, Silver Springs and Winchester. The Colts team will be made up of students from Amerman, Moraine and Thornton Creek.

If demand exceeds available spots on the roster, an age-based lottery will be held to fill the teams. The Flag Football teams will play on regulation fields, with a scoreboard and announcer. They will play before the NYF Freshman tackle games, both home and away. They will practice twice a week during the season. Practice will start in early August. If all the requirements of player participation, parent volunteerism, and player and parent conduct are met, NYF Flag Football players will receive veteran status for the following season.
